We live up a 8 miles long Private track. Please do not drive up the Glen if you aren’t staying with us ! 

It is a gravel track for most of the way which we maintain ourselves. There a generally a lot of potholes and the state of the track depends a lot of time of year and weather but we make sure we maintain it often enough so a standard 2 wheel drive can drive up (carefully and slowly). It takes 30-40 minutes+ for a small car to drive up so make sure you don’t forget the shopping. Not suitable for motorhomes or caravans. 4×4 recommended but not necessary.

How to get here

We are 8 miles inland of Ullapool. The village is about 1 hour North of Inverness. 
Coming from Inverness, once you get to the village carry on driving northbound. Before the Ullapool river turn right, up the Morefield/Bredon quarry road. If you make it to the industrial estate or golf course you have gone too far !
Once you are on the track stay on it for 8 miles, along a Loch and beyond until you get to the East Rhidorroch sign and finally the swing bridge… that’s us !

Google map will try to send you a different way over the hill from Leckmelm which isn’t possible, you have to go through Ullapool.
